At Healthy Lifestyle Medicine, some patients have aesthetic goals but are hesitant toward certain treatments, like injectables. If you’re needle-phobic, injecting Botox or fillers to achieve your goals isn’t an option. Not to worry though; Emface in Cheyenne has you covered.
Emface combines high-intensity electromagnetic therapy with RF thermal energy to create precise muscle contractions. The synchronized RF remodels and smooths the skin by heating the dermis and increasing the production of collagen and elastin fibers. At the same time, the HIFES technology restores and elevates facial tissues by selectively contracting muscles. This produces increased density and quality of muscle structure within your face!

The Emface Process
What to Expect?
01
Consultation
Before your Emface treatment, you'll meet with our BTL specialist for a facial sculpting consultation. We will examine your treatment area(s), answer your questions, and discuss your concerns and goals for this treatment. The consultation process helps us determine if this is the best treatment for you and how many sessions are needed for your desired results.
02
Emface Treatment
For the procedure, we will ensure you are in a comfortable lying position before applying the Emface paddles to your forehead and cheeks. You will feel the sensation of muscle contractions created by electromagnetic energy and some heat, but it should not be painful. We can adjust the Emface to your tolerance level for the duration of the treatment.
03
Next Steps
After your Emface treatment, you may go about your day as normal.
Before your treatment for Emface, you should:
- Make sure you are well hydrated throughout treatments, starting 2 days before your first scheduled treatment. (At least 100 ounces of water a day)
- Make sure the area of treatment is free of all hair (we recommend shaving the day you are scheduled for your treatments to ensure the machines can have the best contact with the skin).
- Do not wear any jewelry or metallic accessories. You will be asked to remove it for each treatment.
- Avoid moisturizers, make-up, oils, lotions, and perfumes on the day of treatment. We will provide make-up/alcohol wipes at your treatments if needed.
After your treatment for Emface, we recommend you:
- Keep your body hydrated by drinking water
- Keep your face hydrated by scheduling a facial
- Continue to use a good skincare routine
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Emface painful?
An Emface treatment should not be painful. Your BTL specialist will tailor the intensity of the treatment according to your tolerance level. You will experience the sensation of muscle contractions in your face like you would with facial expression.
How long do Emface results last?
Emface results can last, but unfortunately, facial aging is not stopping. A healthy diet and good skin care products can help maintain your Emface results, but we also recommend yearly maintenance treatments.
How does Emface compare to Botox?
Unlike Botox, Emface is completely needle-free and toxin-free. Rather than injecting neurotoxin to relax your muscles, Emface naturally enhances your youthful appearance by stimulating the muscles deep within your facial structure. This produces results from the inside out, creating more lift and reducing the appearance of needles. And all without an injection!
Am I a good candidate for Emface?
Anyone with a face is a good candidate for Emface. Whether you're a man or woman, in good shape or overweight, old or young, the benefits of Emface are almost universal. Try our Virtual Consultation Tool to learn if Emface is right for you.
